February in Review

Another month down and only two more weeks until I take my boards. This month was pretty rough, but I sure do love my boys!

Jimmy had a Valentine's party at "school" aka daycare. They sent home a list of what each kid was to bring, Jimmy was assigned cupcakes. Jimmy has been deeply deprived of my attention this month because of all the studying I've been doing. So I thought some Mommy and Son cupcake making would be a blast for him. And it was! We made polka dot cupcakes with pink vanilla frosting and pink sprinkles, plus some yellow sprinkles just for Jimmy. (His favorite color).

We made two batches, 12 for school and 12 for the primary on Sunday. We put together Car's Valentine's Day cards with suckers.

Jimmy was thrilled walking into school that day with his cupcakes and Valentine's cards. On my way out the door the assistant director stopped me and said, "Ms. L-, I'm sorry, I guess no one told you, but we don't allow kids to bring in homemade food. It has to be store bought."

"POP" Bubble burst. "Thffffftt"

I just left them there, I didn't take them home. When the plate came home it was empty, so they must of eatin them.

Neddy-bear started vegetables this month. Such a porker. Jimmy tried his hand at feeding his little brother. But he prefered to man the camera for me instead.

Funky Face Ned!!

At the beginning of the month Ned started getting a little rash in the folds of his chins from all the drooling. By the end of the month he looked like this! Yeak! The doctors gave us some antifungal cream to put on it. Gross Ned!

I'm beginning to think Ned is missing some type of immunoglobin or something. He just seems to keep colds all the time, and now, fungus on his face? You don't see too many six months old with fungus on their face?

I forgot something! Also this month, Jimmy got his second set of tubes in his ears and he had his adnoids taken out. Maybe now he'll be able to hear himself a little better and start to enunciate his words better! He was such a trooper though. He came home, slept forever and when he finally woke up he ate like four peanut better and jelly sandwiches. The doctor said that in the next 4-6 weeks all the drainage from his ears would be going down his throat so he'll probably get really rancid breath. Oh my was he right! We keep a pack of gum handy just to pop into his mouth whenever he gets too close to our faces!
