Scooby - Scooby - Doo!!!

We took the kids to the Halloween Store to check out costumes. And Jimmy just loved all of the Scooby-Doo Costumes. It took a little while for him to decide but eventually he told me he wanted to be Fred. I'm not one to drop $40 on a costume my child is only going to wear once, so our next stop was to the children's consignment shop.

They had a Scooby Costume and just the right shirt for Jimmy. I found my dress and tights on clearence at Target. The only thing that cost more than $10 was our wigs. So here we are, the Mystery Solvers: Shaggy, Daphne, Scooby, and Fred.

Ned was excited about being Scooby but not too excited about wearing the costume. He loves wearing ball caps so the Scooby head wasn't really the problem, I guess he just felt silly dressing that way. After the first night of Trunk orTreating though, he was plenty happy to put it back on, as long as more people were going to just give him Candy. He is a candy-fein.

Here he is post- Halloween:

No wait it get's better . . .
Two more of them sitting on the chair. He can't get those one's open on his own so he's asking me for help.

Halloween on a weekend was awesome. We had three jam-packed, costume wearing, candy getting, fun days.

Friday: Jimmy had his school party, Ned thought it was so cool to sit next to Jimmy at school.
That night was the church Trunk-or-Treat.
Saturday we went to the Halloween at the Zoo.
Sunday was THE day.

We went door to door with some new church friends who have just moved into our area. The kid's had a blast, but we picked the wrong block to walk, it took forever and the kids were exhausted by the time we got back to the house.

Now I know what your thinking: "How come no one dressed up as Velma?" Well, we didn't have another girl to dress up, but hopefully come May we will:

Yup, we're pregnant. I'm about 13 weeks along. It's too early to tell the sex of the baby yet so we don't actually know if it's a girl or a boy. I told the kids, Ned doesn't get it. But Jimmy is thrilled and wants a sister very badly.  We had a "pregnancy scare" a while back, but it wasn't actually scary; the two of us got really excited about it, until we miscarried. After that we had baby fever, and really wanted another little one. So we started trying.

Predicted due date is May 17 2012.

Congrats! I will be sending pink vibes your way but considering we're having our third boy I don't think it will do much good. :)
