I might not have heard the word used in that context either, but I totally understand what he is saying.

Definition of COOKER
1 : a person that prefers using unique 'appliances' to prepare food Examples include commercial cookers, George Foreman grills, griddles, propane grills, hot plates, etc.
2 : a derogatory term used to imply an individual lacks the ability to be a good cook or chef; typically used after one realizes to show dissatisfaction with the fact that the "cook" is not making the meal through arrangements made either over the phone or at a drive-thru window.
