Oh my goodness! Such a good movie! Dale and I went to a 4:00 showing so we wouldn't have to pay so much. My so wonderful husband took off work just a little early today so I could go see this movie. I thought an early showing would be great cause we wouldn't have to fight a big crowd. Wow, that place was packed. But somehow we got awesome seats.
I loved watching the X-Men on Saturday morning cartoons growing up. It was about the only thing my brother and I could agree on. I never read any of the comic books though, but I've always been a big fan of Rogue.
There are a few changes from the cartoons that I was sorry to miss, but all in all, they did a great job. I was telling Dale, in the cartoons, the young lady in the 3rd X-men movie who had an atamantium/metal skeleton like Wolverine was actually the daughter of the mad scientist army guy, Striker. It was her who Wolverine fell in love with long, long ago, until he lost his memory. She turned evil and had her father give her knife claws and an atamantium skeleton as well. Striker never had a son in the cartoons.
Of course, the cartoons never really brought her into the story line until after Jane turned into the Phoenix and went flying out into space.
Gosh, I bet Jimmy would love those old cartoons.
