We started Ned off in a padded body suit. He figured that thing out so quick. He was swimming around and jumping off the diving board like a pro. He can hold his breath under water and everything. I still have to hold my nose!
Papa really wanted to teach Ned how to dive but the suit was really hindering him. He couldn't really bend too well with it on. So we thought we'd give the water wings a try. He hated them at first, but once he figured out how much more free his body was, he didn't mind any more.
It is so much fun to play with him in the pool. He loves to be thrown into the air and jump, jump, jump! He's so observant and loves to copy what everyone else is doing. He saw Papa swimming on his back and tried that, he was pretty good at it, but he didn't like not seeing where he was going. He also saw Daddy do a backflip off the diving board. The next thing we knew, Ned was standing on the edge of the diving board, backward! He couldn't manage a flip, but he did jump in like that. It was pretty funny, too bad no one brought their cameras that day.
