We went and saw the movie last week. I was so disapointed. So far all of the movies have been great! I understand that it would be impossible to include every detail in a 3 hour movie. I thought the writers have done an excellent job pilfering out the worthy details. However, this new movie left out all the wrong stuff. They totally biffed the great fight seen at the end. They didn't include half of the history of Voldemort. These were the things I like most about the book! Through the whole series you're constantly asking yourself what makes Voldemort so great? How come Dumbledore and Harry seem so ignorant? And this book really seemed to explain so much.
The movie was simply a love story, Harry/Jenny, Ron/Hermione, with a little bit of action in the background.
Dissapointing.

When we get together at Joe's I hope that you will explain everything to me. We saw the movie and I have been waiting to talk to someone who has read the book!!
My wife was also pretty disappointed in it. I would be really interested to hear Dale's review of the movie...
this is brian I agree completely. I thought they shouldn't have added the fight scene in the middle and added some of the missing parts.
Dale's point of veiw? Let's see it went along the lines of: "Honey it's late, why are you telling me the whole book? That's why I don't read books. I really enjoyed the movie, and you know why? Cause I didn't read the book."
